The short version. We collect your name, address, email and phone so we can send you a doll and talk to you about it. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time by emailing info@myrebornbabies.co.uk.
Who is responsible for your data
My Reborn Babies Ltd, trading as My Reborn Babies, of 61 Bridge Street, Kington, Herefordshire, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything to do with your data, contact info@myrebornbabies.co.uk or write to us at that address.
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, phone, delivery address, delivery notes | When you place an order | To take payment, pack your order and get it to you |
| Name, email, your message | When you use the contact form or WhatsApp us | To answer your enquiry |
| Email address | When you join the newsletter | To send you the occasional note about new arrivals |
| Order history and correspondence | Throughout | To handle returns, guarantee claims and our accounting duties |
We do not collect or store card or bank account numbers. Payment is arranged separately by Revolut request or bank transfer after your order is placed, and no payment details are entered on this website.
We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are under 18, please ask an adult to place any order on your behalf.
Why we are allowed to use it
- Performance of a contract. Order details, address and phone number: we cannot deliver a doll without them.
- Legitimate interests. Answering enquiries, preventing fraud and keeping our records straight. We have weighed this against your rights and consider it proportionate.
- Consent. Newsletter emails, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- Legal obligation. Keeping sales records for HMRC.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with:
- Delivery couriers, who receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel.
- Web3Forms, which carries our contact, checkout and newsletter forms to our mailbox. Their privacy notice is at web3forms.com/privacy.
- Our email provider and accountant, in the ordinary course of running the shop.
- Payment providers you choose to pay through — you deal with them directly and they hold their own records under their own notices.
We never sell your data, never rent mailing lists, and never pass your details to advertisers. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to keep it protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
- Order records: six years after the end of the tax year of the order, as HMRC requires.
- Enquiries that did not lead to an order: 12 months.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Our mailbox and forms are access-controlled and protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication. Only the two people who run the shop can see your details. If a breach ever put your rights at risk we would tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate details corrected;
- have your data deleted, where we do not need it for a legal reason;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
Email info@myrebornbabies.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — though we would very much rather sort it out with you first.
Marketing
We only email you about new arrivals if you have asked us to. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is instant. Order confirmations, dispatch notices and replies to your questions are service messages rather than marketing, and you will keep receiving those while your order is live.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It does store two small things in your own browser — your basket and your wishlist — which never leave your device. See the cookie policy for the detail.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle data changes, and the date at the top always shows when it was last revised.
