A 20" reborn baby doll finished entirely by hand, Mattia is built in soft vinyl on a soft, weighted cloth body — there is real substance to him when you lift him.
Mattia has hand-rooted blonde hair and clear open eyes with hand-applied lashes, with delicately painted nails, soft mottling and the layered skin tones that take a reborn artist hours to build up. He is sculpted with the fuller proportions of a toddler. Switch him on and you get a gentle heartbeat you can feel through the chest and a soft rise and fall in the chest, like quiet breathing.
Mattia suits collectors, doll artists and anyone who simply likes having something small and still to hold. Keep him away from direct sunlight, newsprint and dark dyes, and spot-clean the cloth body rather than putting him through a wash.
